General Formatting Guidelines

Fonts

• Base text: Calibri 12pt
  • Use unless a different font is stated
• Caption text: Calibri 10pt
• Author text: Calibri 11pt Italic
• Page Title: Eurostyle 28pt / White
• Page Subtitle (Region Name): Eurostile 20pt / White

Content Areas

• Text Frame:

  • Basepoint: top right corner
  • X-Pos: 0.5”
  • Y-Pos: 1.36”
  • Width: 7.5”
  • Height: 9”

• Columns:

  • 1 if all content fits on one page

  • 2 if all content spans multiple pages

    Ads

    Full page:

• Dimensions: 8.5” x 11”

• Page numbers, page banner, and PCACHS logo will not be shown

  Half page:

• Dimensions: 8.5” x 5.5”

• Will be displayed at the bottom of the page

• Page numbers will not be shown

• Page banner and PCACHS logo will be shown

  Quarter page:

• Dimensions: 4.25” x 5.5”

• Position is variable

  Business Card:

• Dimensions: TBD

• Position is variable

Classifieds

• One page per sale item
• Must contain seller name, contact information (email and/or phone number)
• Seller must be a member of PCACHS
• Multiple photos may be submitted - all photos will be sized to fit on a single page

Photos

• Limit full-page-width pictures/photos to one per article
• If photos overlap, avoid blocking out peoples’ faces
• Add captions whenever possible
  • Caption length should not exceed 7 words
  • Avoiding captions longer than 1 line
  • Captions should be included right below the applicable picture

Logos

PCACHS Logo:

• Place on top outside corner of every page (e.g. top left corner of left-hand pages)
• Dimensions: 1.23” x 1.14”

PCA Juniors Logo:

• Only appears on the PCA Juniors page(s) at the end of the issue

Formatting Exceptions

• Full page ads will cover the entire page - i.e. no banner or PCACHS logo
